Getting legally married in Costa Rica is a simple process. We don't require blood tests, birth or civil status certificates, or even a minimum stay time in Costa Rican.
Only a sworn statement attesting your civil status, date and place of birth and parents name will meet all requirements.
All weddings performed without the Catholic church require the presence of a lawyer, who files all the legal documents with the Costa Rican Civil Registry, and the Embassy, to make sure your marriage is legal and recognized internationally. |
